Week 1 Recap

The Kenosha Cougars took down the Chicago Falcons 36-12 last night in our double header in Barrington, IL

Hith the halftime score at 19-6, the Cougars put up another 17 points on their way to an easy victory to move to 1-0 on the season.

The Great Lakes Phoenix defeated the Northern Illinois Raptors, 26-12 in the second game of the night. Nate Ivy had two passing touchdowns as well as a rushing TD. James Martin caught one of the passing touchdowns and had a rushing TD as well. Trell Brown had a 31 yard catch and run TD.

Jay Smallz of the Phoenix had 2 interceptions on the night.

The Raptors were able to put together two scoring drives in the last 12 minutes of the game, which should roll over to next week as teams settle into the GFL format.

Next week, all league games are at noon.

The Phoenix take on the Cougars, and the the Raptors will play the Falcons
